    From TCC FB page

    Guys,

The 2018 Texas Cobra Club Spring Meet is off to a great start! So far we have:

    49 Drivers/Guests registered with
    25 Cars
    35 Banquet Tickets Sold

There are only 99 days to go before the first cars start showing up in San Marcos.

We are in talks with Harris Hill about a track day, so stay tuned for that.

We were approached by the City of San Marcos about having a few cars on display around the city square on Friday, April 6th late afternoon (4-7pm). There are plenty of restaurants, live music, and other activities in the downtown area. More details to come for the activity.

With that, we are going to move the hamburger cookout to Thursday evening along with our "movie night." Friday evening will be an open night for the evening meal. We will be showing movies outside on Friday evening as well.

Hotel rooms will go fast so please register for the event and get your room reservations soon.

Lots of really nice cars there Charles. This year should be just as good if not better. Thanks for posting the updates.

    Update:
NEW THIS YEAR: There will be a designated area for registered attendees wishing to participate with non-Cobra vehicles. “Cobra” being defined as a 1962-1967 (Authentic or replica) Cobra, GT-40, or Daytona Coupe. Our event is open to all automotive enthusiasts but we would like to segregate by type of cars
More info can be found on general info: www.texascobrameet.com.

    Hey Charles,

Yes, we're having a winter storm in PA...I'll check with you on the weather in July or August

Just sent you a private message about the meet. My son just moved to San Antonio. He doesn't have a Cobra, but is a car guy through and through. Here's his ride - a 2007 Z4M. It's not quite as fast as the Cobra but corners like there's no such thing as a corner... Anyway, was just wondering what a day trip to the meet would be like for him.

    Kevon.
This year other makes of cars are welcomed....they will have spread parking. They will be able participate in all activities they register for along with the Cobra's, Daytona's, and GT-40's. If he just wants to come by to see the cars Thursday (movie in the parking lot) and Friday( hamburger's and hotdogs in parking lot..donation) night are the best.

LinkSpine, the company he works for, moved him there. He's still designing devices and tools for spinal fusion surgery, but is moving into a new role working directly with the surgical staff in the operating room. There is also a sales component to it as he'll be recruiting new surgeons to use their systems. Sales is where the money is and, given his car habit, he needs money.

Since he has two cars, we did a road trip from Maryland - 1,800 miles. He drove a moving truck with his Z4M on a trailer and I drove his other car. Great time and the company paid all my expenses, including the flight home. We're going for a visit in June - looking out the window at the snow piling up, wish we could go now

Think it sounds like a great time for you to go visit your son and both of you come to San Marcos. Guarantee if you do, you will be back the next year with your car. Big Fun.
