    I walked into a Ford dealership in 1969 and asked to test drive one of those. I remember it feeling quite large, and fast.

    David,

    They are a heavy car but are quite fast and the horsepower was underrated on the "R" code motor by quite a bit.

    All the factory HP ratings were considerably underrated during that time period.
