Hi Jim! I?m interested in joining because I just bought a 1965 to 89 cobra, CSX 2442. All numbers matching, original drivetrain, one owner for 53 years. 26,000 original miles! Thx

    Mike,

Welcome to the site and I hope that you will post some pictures of your Cobra. That is a rare find and a one owner low mileage one is really something. Congratulations.

Yes, I feel lucky to have this car! Purchased new in October 65 in Peoria Ill. Left front damage within months of purchase, and repossess. 2nd owner bought it less than a year old, and owned it until I bought the car. Stored from 73-98. Restored after long storage. Original color repaint (red), original interior including seats, belts, wheel, gauges, dash, etc. Seats a bit rough, but adds character as the paint is so clean. Original hard top, painted wires and luggage rack. Has 26k original miles!

My plans are to drive the piss out of the car, and frequently stand around with a beer in my hand and marvel at the fact that I somehow got the keys to this thing of beauty! All kidding aside, I've got about a dozen cars, but most are relatively worthless Camaros, Chevelles, etc. This is my first serious investment type vehicle. Only thing for certain at this moment is that I will still own this car the day I die!

    Mike,

I hope that you will drive it some and really enjoy it. Make some videos of your drives in it and post them so we can all enjoy it.
