    Die Cast Prices

Boy have these gone up. When I bought the set of all six they cost $100 each. Now they are $395 each. And the polished aluminum one they gave me for getting all six of them is now worth around $700 as they were only made for the people that ordered the whole set.

I've told my wife that if I unexpectedly depart the world - don't dump my die-casts or give them to kids. Some of them may be worth some money.

my only "real" Cobra is a 428 SCJ engine
You just never know. I've found that when my friends tell me I'm "wasting good money" the price is probably going to go up.

I also have a couple of hundred die casts but most of them are in boxes in the garage attic as I don't have room to put them out. Also many of them aren't really collector class and some were given to me. Then I have my NASCAR die casts in boxes in the closets. A few of them are worth quite a bit now as they only made 100 of some of them such as the Dale Earnheart car he wrecked at Talladaga. It is made with the crumpled front end and broken windows.

    Yes,

They made 100 of those cars and my friends son works for a Chevy dealer that could get three of them so he got one for himself, one for my friend and one for me. Mine is in the box still just like it came.
