    Era fia

I bought this car in Sep. The plan is to completely go through it as it's 19 years old, and I purchased it with less than 4K miles on it. Things wear out from sitting ):

I already put 1000 miles on it in about 4 weeks of driving. I've been fixing things along the way, and this is a very fun ride! I snapped this with my cell phone after yesterday's drive.

One of the nicest I've seen!

In my unhumble opinion it is "just right"!

That's very nice of you to say! Since you are so complimentary, here is another view (:
When it's at a point that I'm pleased with later this summer I'll post some more beauty shots for all to enjoy.

Good for you on driving it. Cars are made to be driven.

    And she is a beauty.

Thanks guys. I've driven it every day since last Thursday (:
I hope to put a couple thousand more miles on it this summer. I want to enjoy this car as much as possible to make up for the previous owner not putting in enough seat time. What's the point of marrying a supermodel if you are not going to sleep with her?

Well that's a little more polite than I would have put it, but you still made the point.

So Troy - after all your experiences now - do you favor the 427 model or the 289 model more for a street driver?

Glad you are driving and enjoying the Cobra. That is what they are for.

Dan, that's a tough call. I would say that the difference is too close to call. It's more about how the car was built and maintained rather than FIA vs 427 differences within the ERA lineup. You really can't go wrong with either if they are properly assembled and maintained.

And with ERA the 427 and 289 are very closely related--both have coil-overs as opposed to the leaf spring on the original 289s.
