    NASCAR For Sale

Well they finally admitted that the attendance has dropped a great amount and they aren't doing well.

I just heard that on the radio. They should have sold 10 years ago when it was worth something.

    Al,

I have thought that NASCAR was on the way out for the last several years. France and his clowns have ruined it and I can't really see any company wanting to buy what is left. Also I heard last year that this was the last year for Monster Energy to sponsor the Cup series and they don't have any new sponsor that I have heard of. Of course this could all be rumors and things.

Well kids, looks to me that we have screwed this up about as much as we can, so lets see if we can find someone stupid enough to buy it.

Monster renewed for 2019 but not 2020. Good luck finding a sponsor now. I'll bet ISC stock tanks. The tracks are worth nothing without NASCAR.

I found it interesting that Brian France has no ownership stake in NASCAR. He sold his part to his sister and uncle, probably to keep his ex-wife from getting anything in the divorce.

I think Nomad and Silver should go together and buy it. Then Nomad could bring them to Canada for some of the races.

I would just ignore it like my own debt load.

I think if they put Trans-Am racing back in the lime-light. With weekly televised events, it would soon attract the spectators. They would need to reconfigure some of the oval tracks, so they are more like a road course, but others are already set up for that. Some of the current batch of NASCAR drivers can run road courses, and the ones that aren't very good, could either learn quickly, or be replaced. Team owners would still get the sponsors, and it would probably cost less to run the Trans-Am cars.

    Bill,

I agree. I and a lot of others around here really liked and miss the Trans Am racing.

More on the decline of NASCAR and they are finally putting the blame where it should have been all along.

Okay, we have some smart people here. How would you fix it if you bought it?
