    Kerry,

The car still looks as if it is in very good shape. And as said before it is nice to see that you are starting to drive it some.

I'm very happy with its condition. It was less than four years old when it came into the family and since then it's been babied (no salt and almost no rain).

Then you should be working on your Pontiac Catalina

Car looks really nice for a survivor. What type shift kit did you install?

I used a TCI kit. It's just about perfect for this application. In normal driving you can just barely feel it shift and it happens quickly. More pedal and it feels quicker and a bit harsher. If only it had more power to push through the trans

I've heard good things about TransGo too but years ago TCI's phone support was very helpful on an issue not related to their products so I try to use them when appropriate.

On Sunday had to have the T/A towed home. We were cruising along and in an instant it looked like the James Bond smoke screen behind us. Trans fluid was everywhere. Turned out the modulater was almost completely out of the trans. The I saw the clip that holds it laying on the crossmember. Half of the lug that is cast into the trans case was sitting there too. I had spare turbo 350 on the bench so I was able to use it to make a solution. The red circle shows the piece that broke off of the Pontiac. If I could find a Pontiac dealership I'd complain

Kerry we've all been there, and as they say "a 5 cent part will stop a million dollar race car".

Hope that's the end of your unwarranted "surprises".

Always something. At least it feels like the car is worth working on.

Darn Kerry, your luck seems to run kind of like mine. But at least you had another transmission that you could use. How far from home were you when this happened?

We were only about 15 miles or so from home but it was a three hour wait for a flat bed.
