    Post Daytona Cobra Coupes

Carol Shelby's outrageously powerful Daytona Cobra Coupes have raced their way into the million dollar plus league.

The Daytona Cobra Coupe is a particularly significant car. It's the only American car to ever win the world manufacturer's sports car championship.

Now own just a lowly Viper
After the race season was over the cars had no value. If only they had known.

CSX2287 is displayed at the Simeone Museum in Philadelphia which is 75 miles from my home. Last year I took a friend and we visited the museum. The attached description of the car reveals a twisted ownership history, prior to it's display in the Simeone Museum.

    David,

That is a great article and thanks for posting it. It is nice that you live that close to the museum.
