    Hi all

Just wanted to stop in to say hi and see how everyone's doing. Between the rain on the east coast and fires on the west coast, it's been a mess.

Didn't do too much actual work this week. Could have but blew it off to work on the '67 Mustang. Brake lines were rusted so I replaced all the front brake lines with stainless lines. The rear lines are on the way should be here on Monday. While laying under the rear end just staring into space, gonna buy myself a birthday present next month and replace the rear leaf springs and hardware. Every time I work on this car, I end up replacing parts.

Any way, hope everyone is doing well and have a good weekend.

    George

Well George, that's the fun part of owning older cars. Replacing parts.

True... I can think of worse things to own or do. Own a sailboat or play golf... I'll pass.

Sounds like your Mustang is receiving some TLC.

    Cars like that!

We are under siege here on our little 12 square mile Island.

Our year round population is around 1,100 folks.

As you read this there are approximately 8,000 people on the rock.

Hornby Island exists because it is a resort and retirement destination.

Well, build it and they will come.

We are inundated with family and friends,

    buy Bourbon Stock,

    it's going up.

And of course there is our world renowned nude beach, about a mile from our hovel.

    Film at 11.

    Stay "up" for it.

    Cheers.

    George,

Cars are fun but every time I look at mine it seems that something needs to be replaced or fixed. And I don't even have any classics.

Think about it Ted. It's a retirement destination and has a nude beach. Are you sure you really want to see film?

Point well taken Silver. I gotta work on thinking these things through. Hope someday I'll be as sharp as you. Of course, you have a lot more experience with Nomad than I do.

11...? I’ll be lucky to see 9. My 4 year old daughter wears me out.

She comes in our room at 2, hops in bed and I get evicted. King bed, wife, daughter and dog, odds are stacked against me.

That’s when I find myself in the garage turning wrenches. Very therapeutic.
