    Worked on a 28 Model A Phaeton Sunday to adjust the mechanical brakes, at 40mph it was way more frightening than the Cobra at 100+ mph

    That looks like a real workout - must be exhausting. Some interesting camber on that front straight axle.

    I like the old narrow tires. Maybe if they made some of the cars today race on the type tires they came with we could have better racing.

    They tried that with the narrow grooved tires in F1 and it did not work all that well.

    Actually the more or less round profile of those narrow tires probably lessens the importance of camber. Probably about the same grip in corners running on the outer sidewalls as on the thread.
