    Welcome aboard Tom.

There is another Cobra site? Damn, I did not know that.

Welcome Tom! Tell us about your Cobra. Pics are a must

Here it is. I'll fill in more soon. Thanks very much! It is a VSE built by Herb and Matt Adams in Monterey ca. It has a monocoque aluminum chassis, a 350 chevy aluminum engine with 10.5 pistons, a forged crank roller lifters and roller tip rockers. I just installed a Holley TBI. I am an autocrosser and am gradually making it more suitable.

I like the color. I like things that are different. I learned that from my senior bride.

    Tom,

Now I see what you were talking about wanting to get a scoop or another hood to cover that hole left from what you had on there before.

Exactly. As you noticed it came with four gigantic webers. We could not get it running well with that and put on the edelbrock 800 cfm. It now has a Holley TBI.

Did I mention it weighs less than 2100# with a half tank of gas?

    That's one happy looking Snake.

Lots of function as well as form.

Nice to see you put a "thinking gentleman's" motor in jt.

    And so it begins...…………………………...

I would not have put a chevy into a car built for a ford but since its in there and I bought it that way, I like it pretty well. The parts for it are more numerous than a ford and cheaper too, but that lovely little ford is so very space efficient. I'm kindof a novice around american made motors so I am learning as I go along.

My limited autocross experience suggests the cobra turns in crisper and better than my 99 miata....and that is saying a lot.

Put Nomad in it and you will top 2800 pounds. No, Nomad is not that heavy but his bourbon supply is extensive and he takes it everywhere he goes.

Welcome to the site Tom. Not much cobra driving going on around here right now, just lots of snow flying around.

Good. I like Bourbon. I'm dropping it down in Indy tomorrow to get the roll bar completed.

You and Nomad may become best friends. Just don't let him know where you live.

Glad you're enjoying your new "family".

    We are all family here.

You don't want to know how that came about.

Incidentally, admission to this Group is free, departure costs $69.00.

    Payable to the Treasurer.

    That would be me.

    Cheers.
