Ron,
Stoneleigh was about 10 miles from where we lived in Warwick. It always seemed to be wet and a bit dreary to me.

Lots of details to look at! I didn't realize for a good bit that they all are right drive, just drinking in the details. It looks like I'm not the only one without enough room for my left arm and hand. By looking at the arrangement you might conclude that Shelby had only his right arm!;)

What man in his right mind would but a Chevy engine in a Ford Cobra?
One with a very small left arm?
I can get in all right but my left arm action is limited for moving space. In my old formula ford it was tight but in that you could steer pretty much by thinking of turning and do it all with finger action.;)

I'm heading down to pick up the Cobra from Two Lane Performance where Bill welded in my roll bar braces.
Woo hoo!

It was built a long time before I got involved by an old GM guy, Herb Adams. If I had built it it would have a ford probably.

Morning Tom.
Just so you are aware I was picking on Nomad, not you.
No problem. I can take it!;) A chevy is just wrong!

It's only wrong if you don't like it. If you are happy then that is all that matters.
you can get a lot of power out of a Chevy much cheaper

That's what I hear. My previous race cars had Ford Kent motor in the FF and a hotted up K-20 Accura motor in the Lotus replica. This is the first chevy v8 I have had not in a truck.

Well the Chevy does make a good truck motor.
Not as good as Cummins.;)

That's true Tom. I have had 3 of them and one had 225,000+ miles on it and was still running fine when I traded it in.
I'm on my second. Great motors.

That they are. Not sure I would want one in a Cobra however.
