Nostalgia Drag Racing Ozark Raceway Park

I just like these old cars even though they aren't as fast as today's computer driven cars.

Just think Ron you could move back here and spend your weekends there. The slower cars are more fun to watch, it's pretty intense when Scott Palmer brings out his top fuel dragster and has to pull the chute at the 60' mark.

    Mark,

I always liked the older cars more than the modern super fast ones. Back then the driver was in control; and now it is computers and the driver just starts the car and hangs on. I think my Cousin has been to that track a time or two.

Was that Nomad driving the Anglia in that first clip? Took off from the light like a little old lady that had spilled her bourbon.

Maybe just me but I don't think I ever saw a Rambler gasser before.

Any of you Missouri guys remember Mo-Kan Dragway over towards Joplin? I raced my Plymouth Sport Fury there about 1970. Looks like it's still open.

I remember it. It would be the next closest track to here. Used to go with a friend whose dad ran a 62 Biscayne with a 409.
