    Iron man movie cobra?

I saw this car on Fast and loud. It appears to have an aluminum body and no drive train. Anybody know what it was and what has happened to it now?

It was a Kirkham and from what I remember it was bought by someone who intended to fix it and drive it.

Damn, missed that you posted this twice. Couldn't figure out where my first reply went.

Richard Rawlings of Fast n Loud bought that car at Barrett-Jackson. The car was a mess. I was there and was able to look at the car up close and pretty much anything that was worth anything had been removed. I think Richard figured out that he paid more for the car than he was able to sell it for and ended up donating it to someone. If I remember correctly (and that's doubtful) he donated it to some Hollywood movie museum. I suspect that he figured the donation would net him more as a tax write-off than what he would get selling it.

Maybe if it was free. Believe me, it was bad. There wasn't a straight piece of aluminum on the whole car. Engine, transmission, rear end and axles were all removed as well as every other undamaged part available. Honestly, on second thought, I doubt that I would have taken it for free.

Actually there was a guy over on CC ( Resocreations) that rebuilt an iron man Cobra, but I think it was one of the backup Cobras that didn't get wrecked so bad.

I found a thead about the second cobra. I got the impression it was undamaged but lacked all the mechanical parts. The fellow that bought that one built it into a running driving car.

Also, Restocreations also built a 289 Kirkham that he is putting up for auction at Barrett Jackson in January at no reserve. It is really a nice build.

Wonder why they would strip it first? Was it donated by Kirkham, and they wanted the usable parts back?
