Ok, this is no car, but I thought it pretty ingenious. Wonder who's mother in law this belongs too?

Now that is something that I have never seen or even thought of. It would sure turn a lot of heads if you drove it down the freeway. And it does make a great way to have a car where people can see the inside workings.

Imagine trying to parallel park that thing. Would need a runway and tow vehicle.

    Nomad,

Now that is a Comet that would turn heads for sure. And it is a very nice looking one too. A lot of work went into it just to get that 427 cammer in it. And I do wish I had it.

    Q,

That has to be one of the strangest looking cars I have seen for a long time. If it wasn't factory built it must have taken a lot of work to get everything turned around like that.

It's interesting to look back at these cars (Gassers and Altereds were the same) and see how they approached weight transfer in an effort to gain traction.

    Silver,

Did you see the article some time back where they had found Don Nickelson's original 427 Comet in an old barn or something and were going to restore it. He was the first to set the wheels forward, but his front wheels were almost under the bumper. The fore runner of the funny cars. But those cars pretty well ruled the track until others quit laughing at their looks and started doing the same thing.
