    Interesting. I think this version is suffering from a similar fate as those that overdue the Botox and plastic surgery...

    It kind of looks like the Batmobile and a Cobra ran together.

    What all these concepts reveal is the timelessness of the basic shape originally conceived by AC and then modified by Shelby and others.

    Within each of these you can see the bulging, ever so slightly of the front fenders, the shark-like "mouth" driving air to the heart of the beast, the classic windshield, and last, but not least, the the smooth "broadening" of the hips as her flanks slope down to a nice rounded fanny.

    Shelby may have been the father of the V8 powered beast we know now, but the mother of these sexy lines lies somewhere in the dusty archives of the AC Cars Company in the design of the AC Ace. Depending on the source, the Ace was designed by John Tojiero and I found a photo of a 1958 version of the car:

    Now that is definitely a different look. I don't remember ever seeing one like that before.

    Interesting concept and platform but I fear it would lack the beast within without the brash raw power of US V8.

    Gian,

    From the picture posted, I noticed two things;

    1. It doesn't look like a Mustang.

    2. I really like it.==) (Not that last picture)

    Jim

    PS Doesn't Speed Racer have title to the term "Mach 5"?
