    Great add, Mcoop!

I can't help but wonder who applied the number on the gumball.... ;)

Come to think of it, I believe Nomad was a crew member that year...

I believe you are correct Gian. It does look bourbon inspired.

From the Sports Car Digest Weekly.

    1965 12 Hrs of Sebring.

The "butt" photo. Some young lady walks out to the edge of the track to get a photo. The only thing holding back spectators at Sebring in those days was snow fencing. Imagine how course marshals would react today to something like this. (photo: Dave Nicholas)

Race cars lined up waiting for inspection. The #17 car is the Shaw Racing Team Shelby Cobra that was driven by Dick Thompson and Graham Shaw. The car finished 19th. (photo: Dave Nicholas)

The Ed Lowther & Bob Nagel Shelby Cobra in downtown Sebring for tech inspection. They had to retire after 93 laps with mechanical issues. (photo: Dave Nicholas)

Later Don Yenko tries to limp the #6 Corvette home after the RR wheel has broken off. This caused suspension damage that forced them to retire. His motto for the day might have been, ?If I didn?t have bad luck, I?d have no luck at all.? (photo: Dave Nicholas)

Photo taken on Hornby Island. Incident allegedly occurred when the driver was heading to the liquor store to get his bourbon refill and he missed the turn-off...

As Ron mentions, it remained in his family even after Dick passed, so although that one in the video sure looks like his car. Maybe he loaned it to that fellow to take to the show, or something?
