    Sure were a lot of cars with race number 98 on them..wonder what the attraction to that number is?

    They were Marked Down To Clear.

    They had sold out of all the 97's and 99's, and were trying to dump the 98's.

    Cobra CSX 2093, then owned by Jim Costilow and driven by Bruce Larson who later became the 1989 NHRA Funny Car World Champion. The car was later sold to Ed Hedrick who used it to win the 1966 World Championship

    I believe that's the original body buck for the 260/289 Cobra as used by AC Cars Thames-Ditton back in the day. It now belongs to AC Heritage at Brooklands. Not sure if they still use it to produce new bodies, or if they're just using it as a "museum piece." They had it on display at the Goodwood Revival last September.

    The Cobra Caravan rolled into Detroit's Cobo Center with CSX3011, CSX2286 and GT40P/1004.

    Great pictures. I saw the Cobra caravan once when they brought it here to Redding. They stopped here for a n hour or so on their way to some other place.
