    Hello from NC

    Hello everyone -

I just wanted to introduce myself as I joined the forum today.

I live in Whitakers, NC with my wife and 2 children. I am your basic "car guy" and generally love anything automotive related. I have a Factory Five Roadster with a Ford 4.6 DOHC modular engine that I completed about 2 years ago. As crazy as it sounds, I really don't have any plain ole' photos of my car but here is one I took last year when I was swapping intake manifolds.

I enjoy modifying the car with a goal of improving it for track days, etc.

Looking forward to getting to know you guys.

Welcome to the fray Tad. You'll find a bunch of really good guys for the most part. There's a broad spectrum of knowledge here if you ask the right question. Don't worry too much about Nomad, he has just cleared his 2 week quarantine and they gave him a clean bill of health.

Be sure to read Morris's "KMP 259 Phase 2" thread. Amazing stuff and sure to inspire you.

    Tad,

Welcome to the site and I hope that you will enjoy it. We have a great group of members here and your Cobra is really nice looking. You will have to take some more pictures of it and post them. Everyone loves to see pictures of what others have done to modify and improve their Cobras. And as Gian said, Morris has an excellent thread on the build and set up of his for tracking. So have fun and join in any thread that interests you. Thanks for joining us.

    Tad,
Welcome, welcome! This is really a great site. We try to keep things light and informative at the same time. Thanks for posting pics of your Cobra on your very 1st post. If you track your Cobra than Morris's thread is one you will really appreciate.==)

Sorry, I don't have any as I've only done a few of these so far. I need to invest in a GoPro.

I'm planning to attend the SVT Cobra Club event at VIR scheduled for Jan 26&27. I'm relatively green but learning and having fun. Here is a link in case there are others that want to join in on the fun.

I've been looking over Morris's thread - that is over the top. I'm sure I'll be learning quite a bit from you guys.

And thanks to everyone for the warm welcome I've received here.

    Welcome Tad240!

    Another great new Member!

We've really been doing well as of late.

Love the pic of your car.

I used to own a 1970 240 Z. Silever over black. Very stock and very quick! Also used to crew on a GT2 Road Racing Datsun 510. Won the

Molyslip 12 hour Enduro one year. Those were the days!

Anyway, enjoy the Site, we've got some of the finest guys and gals on the planet.

    This planet that is.

Tad is our birthday-boy today, but sadly he hasn't checked in since 2013.

I've been going through some 'older' threads lately, and it is surprising how many new enthusiastic members join, and for whatever reason, the trail goes cold. Unfortunately, great threads like this one could have been, also come to an abrupt end.

What also surprises me is that I regularly see members who have joined as far back as 2011 logging in, who have never posted. Weird I guess, but it is encouraging that they are still around. But who knows, hopefully they'll join in again some time, and help grow this Forum in a positive and constructive way...

    FWIW, Happy BD Tad!

My all time favourites are the New Members that are introduced to us by James Stern, we clamor onboard to extend them a warm welcome, and they never submit one Post.

See where I'm going with this.

On a more positive note, lately we have some new Members signing on, bringing with them a wealth of knowledge, and some drop dead

gorgeous Snakes, and a wicked sense of humor.

Those folks I get, the others not so much.................

Two posts in four years means Tad has his priorities straight. He's probably too busy driving to type.
