If I knew of a source I could order one and try it out.

Tom,
Here is one place that will make them but they are expensive.

Acton is a very good source. Not cheap but good products.
The one line never heard in Heaven "Gee! I wish I had spent a little more time in the office."
One of the guys up in Washington put the racing screen on his. His wife refused to ride in it after that and he got tired of the wind and having to wear goggles. Went back to the stock windshield after one summer.
A helmet would be the way to go maybe.
Thanks for that lead. Looks very high quality. I am reluctant to drill 13 holes in my cowl though....I'll have to think about that.
Another possibility is a folding Brookland style shield.

It was most likely custom made. We had a guy here that had to have one made for his Cobra as he had a 429 and high rise with two fours and they had to make a big hole in the hood. There was a good fiberglass man here then and he took the stock scoop, split it in half and then widened it and built it up and when he was done and it was back on the hood it looked as if it came that way.

Thanks Ron!
I need a scoop.

Tom, Hurricane Motorsports uses a hood scoop very similar to the one pictured. The Hurricane guys are very nice and they may sell you one if it is the right size to fit your hood. I had to modify mine to get more height, so I drilled a 1/4" hole on each side at the back corners of the scoop and then slit it down each side to the 1/4" holes, raised the center section of the scoop the amount needed and then glassed in the expanded slits. Hope that made sense.

I think so. I'll check them out.
Thanks!
