All very nice. I don't think anyone around here still has their Cobra as when I sold mine it seemed everyone sold theirs. So we don't have any groups to go to shows any more.

A precautionary measure required by Monti Casino (relevant to all car clubs using their facilities) due to the paving bricks being Sandstone and thus very porous. Should oil get messed and then absorbed into the Sandstone bricks, it is almost impossible to clean them afterwards - hence the plastic tarps.

2012 is here, so some friends formed a scouting party, to look for a venue for a future Club run. The venue visited is called "Kitty Hawk". It is a airfield to smaller aircraft, where we were able to get close to the aircraft. They've also got a Clubhouse on the premises, that served a excellent breakfast. "Kitty Hawk" will be seeing more Cobras in the near future.

    Some group shots-

Ron, It's alot nicer than "First Flight" airfield at Kitty Hawk. Flew in and out of there a few years ago and it was not so nice.

    James,

If you want a thrill try flying into the Glendale Airport. On approach the plane is below the hills on each side and you are so close you can see the rabbits running. Then they have to just barely clear the fence as the airport wasn't built for these jets and the second they hit the ground they are on the brakes and reverse thrusters so hard that I was sore from my seat belt every time we landed. They just barely have enough length of runway to stop and take off on. One day when we were about 100' off the ground the plane hit an air pocket, there was a loud bang, and it turned completely upside down and we were about 45 seconds from the fence and the houses that are built right up against it. The pilot did a heck of a job getting it right side up in time, but the wing that I was sitting by the window seat over just barely tipped the top of the fence. All of the screaming from the hot coffee that had spilled when the plane flipped was worse than what happened to me. But we set for about a minute before the pilot finally came on the intercom and said, "Well that was a sort of rough landing and his voice was quivering." And most strangely I was never scared at all. I guess it all happened to fast for me to get scared.

"Q" here's a question that I have been meaning to ask.
Approx how many Cobra's are you "aware of"?
I am still overwhelmed with your multitude of photo's that you have shared with us over a long period of time.

The Province that I reside in, has around 4 1/2 million people. I can realistically say that I am "aware" of about 30 Cobra's! I actually "know" about 11 Owners.
I am not saying that I know of every Cobra in the Province, but I am pretty well dialed in to the Cobra World up here.
I look at your pic's and cannot conceive even 9 Cobra's at one location, at the same time................. much less what you show us.
So, give or take, what's your best estimate of "known" Cobra's?

    Cheers
