I have narrowed down my choice of wheels for the Flip-Top KMP. Maybe 18" Superformance....

I still love the 17" PSE wheels fully polished , a nice balance between the 15" and 18"

I also have the 15" wheels if I feel like that look again someday

18's are the Big Wheel look for a Cobra. 15's are my definitely my fave but 18's give it that modern flare. 17's don't go quite far enough IMHO. And that tire selection must be incredible.

Rodneym. What about 19' on the back and 17's on front, averaging 18?

    John,

Me also. I ran 15s on mine when I was racing and driving it like crazy. I like the higher sidewall as we have some places around here that hard cornering can cause those small sidewalls to hit a sharp gravel and blow out. That being said I like some of the larger wheels and their looks on the Cobras.

+1. There have been very few Cobras that have made me look twice with the larger rims. Infinitely better tire choices, but I like a car from the mid '60s still looking like a car from the mid '60s. JMHO.

Hell, we're ALL basically old school. Take a look around! ;)
Q, how about a better side shot to see the size difference?

As soon as I see that Cobra again I'll get some better shots. The owner said he basically just put those mag and tires on for short runs and shows, as soon as he has to do longer runs, back on comes the 15's.

That is some stunning photos showcasing the "wheels". Looking at them, I'm sure you can dig out one or two photos you could ad to the "Poster worthy Cobra photos" thread. Please share.

I'm definitely old school, but I'm surprised that the 18's look pretty good. I think your's is the first I've seen on a correct to the original, kirkham. Looks nice, but I still favor 15's. If I raced mine, then the larger wheel and selection of racing rubber would go on my car. Tire selection is very low for the 15's. Once I get mine back rolling again, I'll put my BB's on. I have the Team III wheels and like them.

Has anyone used the Foose,...cobra wheels ? (beside the kirkham's...., he's my car GOD) !
