Yea, you have a BMW race car. I figure you started with a large fortune, then decided to go racing so you'll end up with a small fortune. ;)

I've always maintained there is a lot of money in racing,

because I left a lot of it there.

    You and me both.

I'd add that I do not regret one minute of the experience. Someone said we should live our life to the fullest. I agree.

    Couldn't agree more!

Have you been tested in the last year for a STD? No signs of chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis?

Just kidding. I say we will all live a full life past age 90.

    you dirty boys !

meanwhile i'm ready for the welder on my second CS...after the floors , now in the rear ,rust repair .... o well, what do we expect after 48 years ? that car can have been 30 years in wind & rain....
after that i can begin mounting new parts .... and tech inspection...
On 14/15 april we have a 2 days rally with 2 classes , "amateur" and "expert" ... goal is that wifey & son drive in "amateur" , so we have 2 coupes in ! .. and i a deadline

I don't see any beer in those pictures. How does one work on a car without beer?

restoration fase I completed.... fase II will be all those little things... now ready for 2 days regularity rally this weekend... we drive the "classic" ( map navigation and timing ) , wifey and son drive " touring" , no timing and only point/arrow navigation.

    It's a 2 days rally across Belgium.
Blue car is not complete "legal" ... i got a "red" card at tech control for... not working of odo meter !!!! what a banana land Belgium !
As the odo read says something about the mileage of a 48 years old car.... OMG... and it only counts to 99.999 km.... so who knows how many times it reset ???

Ordered a new odo meter in Germany ... will take a week delivery and a day work to exchange.... those restored ones are at 00.000km... so if tech control gives me a official "carpass" at 0km i "must" sell the car ... must be worth a fortune , a BMW E9 '70 with zero miles

all well and home.... lucky , the blue car kept rolling ! was afraid for problems to come above... but no !!!
    Wifey&son are 9 on 21 in "touring" class !!!!
    We 11 on 27 in "classic" .
There was a slalom test included... omg... i did 4 turns ( as i had seen cars on the start ) and my copilot was lost... i never heard him back during the test so i took the pins random... some you have to take right or left , others a full turn , clockwise or anti clockwise... i made a custom version
