This is such a cool thread. I enjoy reading about you guys helping each other out. I wish I had something to offer up, but I don't. I did offer up parts on the Mercury I am pulling the 429 from on a Mercury Marauder forum.

I have my almost brand new Bell racing helmet left that I would give to anyone wanting it. Be aware that it is no longer legal for racing as they have raised the ratings required quite a bit since I was racing. But it would work for off road or other types of stuff like that and is just like brand new and still in the original box. It is an Extra large, but with all of the foam padding it fit me quite closely. It has the changeable shield and can be used with or without the shield as it just snaps in place. It can also be raised to get it out of the way if you don't want to look through it. If interested let me know and I will get a picture of it on here.

[QUOTE=nomad;13835]That's funny James Stern, as I too am looking for a box!
    Coincidence .......... or what?
So if you could just send the box, that would be great!
    I'll await further instructions.
    Standing by to stand by.

Nomad, I think Jan threw out the box that I intended to ship to you when she threw out John's gauges:crazy.

AC Bill, your auto-darkening welding helmet is on its way to The Great White North, land of hockey, good beer and Rush music. Enjoy!

I believe the original "rules" were that you could post up for something you need?

I could use a set of Forged, standard, dished, 428 pistons if somebody has a set for sale?

    Bill,

Wait until you open it and see what kind of shape it is in before you give them to much credit. I have had to return two items lately that they somehow managed to break and not even make the boxes look mashed.

S:9:ballbat in face I hope not. I just sent some quick jacks to a guy in Ontario. If they can screw up solid steel brackets, then they are really good. :crazy

Hey Dean, it was the helmet, and it was still in one piece! It was still charged up, as I stuck it on and flicked my Bic lighter in front of it, and sure enough the lense went dark..

I love it! This will beat all the heck out of my school helmet. That darn thing drove me absolutely nuts. When trying to weld something, I had to line up the rod, or wire, (depending which of the welders I was using), and then quickly flip the shield down, and then hope like heck I was starting the weld in the correct spot. Most of the time I wasn't..:o

I really, really, appreciate you sending it to me!
